The plant is a herb that grows to
aout 3 feet tall with dark green leaves and reddish-violet flowers.
Aromatherapy Uses:
Peppermint essential oil is best known as a remedy for headaches. Compresses
are an effective medium to apply peppermint essential oil. Mix it with a cream
and apply it in a halo to the forehead and neck along the hairline. It is a very
effective means of getting the essential oil to the problem. In addition to
relieving a headache, the cephalic property will aid in clearing the mind and
leave the client feeling fresh and ready for mental effort. Peppermint essential
oil stimulates, cools, restores and uplifts mind and body. It can also sooth the
digestive system, and is excellent for tired head and feet.
Peppermint essential oil has a cooling effect in feverish conditions. and it
induces sweating, which will help to reduce a fever in a natural way.
