is a clear, yellow or soft blue oil
Aroma = with a fruity, sweet, warm scent. Apple like. German chamomile has a
somewhat bitter aroma.
Plant Description
The plant has daisy-like flower and has been prized for centuries for the
apparent ability to calm and moderate strong emotions. It is a small and broad
plant.
Aromatherapy Uses:
Roman chamomile is considered a very soothing essential oil and helps ease
depression, anxiety, stress, worry, and helps calm an overactive mind. It
is widely used in aromatherapy. Roman Chamomile essential oil is great to use in
a bath before bed to help relax the mind and body and bring on sleep.
Chamomile also encourages peace and spiritual awareness. Roman chamomile is
excellent for protecting dry skin. Used for treatment of nerve, headache,
insomnia, menstrual disorders and a comforting essential oil during high pollen
count. A gentle essential oil, suitable for the young and fragile. Can be
used on inflamed skin conditions
When using aromatherapy to address physical conditions,
this essential oil is a nice choice for menstrual cramps and tension, and can be
applied to the lower abdomen and used in a bath or diffuser. It is also a
used quite frequently in the cosmetic industry because it is particularly good
at decreasing inflammation especially of the skin, such as with eczema,
psoriasis, boils, cold sores and sunburn. Roman chamomile may also
decrease the pain associated with arthritis, sprains, inflamed joints,
headaches, and stings.

Blends with: Roman chamomile tends to dominate
a blend. It blends well with bergamot, german chamomile, citrus oils, clary
sage, cypress, geranium, lavender, jasmine, mandarin, neroli, oakmoss, palmarosa,
patchouli, rose, sandalwood and ylang ylang.

pinocarvone, cineol.

German chamomile essential oil is a blue oil with a fruity,
sweet scent. It is produced by steam distillation of its flowers. It
is very soothing and calming and helpful during times of stress. Being a
sedative, it works well for insomnia and helps calm hyperactivity.
On a physical level, german chamomile helps ease sore
muscles, muscle strains, sprains, and any kind of cramping. It works
well on inflamed skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, rosacea and acne, and
is also soothing to the digestive tract.
Blending:
German chamomile blends well with bergamot, chamomile roman, clary sage,
lavender, cypress, frankincense, geranium, marjoram, lemon, grapefruit, myrrh,
niaouli, pine, ravensara, rosemary, and tea tree.
