The Variotherm hot an cold massager is a
professional massager offering a whole range of various therapy options: gentle
or strong massage vibration as a basic treatment, which can be accompanied with
heat or cold as desired. A permanent magnet also permits an additional
stimulation of the circulation.
These options allow the painful muscles to be treated in a targeted way: either
with a concentrated individual application as needed or also in combination of
the various forms of therapy.
This applies in particular to the option by which very efficient vibratory
massage - optionally at two massage levels - can be supported with heat or cold,
ideal for the need to individually combat the problems as they occur.
The heating plate in the head of the leg-shaped unit very quickly heats
up to a pleasant 48°C (118°F), but protection against overheating ensures safety
of patient and also of the unit.
The cooling of the head is done in an equally efficient way so that the
temperature is very quickly reduced to a therapy-intensive 5°C (41°F), which is
likewise optimum to reduce pain & inflammation while helping to remove lactic
acid from the tissue. Even more gentle still, magnetic field therapy can be
used, for example on injuries requiring deeper therapy.
The ideal ergonomic design of the leg-shaped Variotherm handle allows
trouble-free self-treatment of difficult to reach body parts. This is also
helped by the option to bend the upper part of the handle and to rotate the
massage head itself.
The non-slip handle also contains the easy-to-use controls. This massage unit
that is barely 16" long can be used anywhere thanks to a rechargeable battery
and is a companion that can easily travel with you.
For a Rechargeable Massager it is surprisingly environmentally-friendly in that
it uses a nickel magnesium rechargeable battery instead of a nickel cadmium
version. This battery has the same power but it much safer to dispose of for the
environmentally conscious of your customer base.
With this unit you can turn the vibration feature off on the cold function,
which is something the competition can't do. In other words, with the
competition the vibrating function remains on. It is impossible to turn off.
With other hot cold massagers having the vibration and the cold function on at
the same time is a contradiction of function. That is, if you need cold for
reducing swelling, you do not want vibration on with the cold function since it
stimulates the skin and thus heat it up, which is just the opposite of what you
need.
Since the unit is rechargeable, it can also be used outdoors which is ideal for
the sports minded. With less than 16 in. (40 cm) long and a weight of just 33
oz. (920 grams), it is also very easy to transport for professional sports
teams.

A point of interest which you should be aware of is that when you turn the
vibration feature on while using the cold function (in other words, you don't
want vibration), it may seem that the vibration is still on. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
What you are hearing is the fan. The fan stays on all the time when using the
cooling effect. You get the full affect of cold therapy since the fan does not
vibrate; it only enhances the cooling function.
