Candle / Lamp Diffusers

Candle type diffusers usually consist of a heat resistant vessel for water and essential oils, and a heat resistant platform that holds the vessel over a small candle. 

Try to keep the length of time that you diffuse to 4 hours or less. This will ensure that the ceramic (or other material) reservoir of the diffuser does not crack due to dramatic temperature changes.

 Word of Caution:

Place lamp on a flat, stable surface. Lamp must be kept out of reach of children. Precautions should be taken to avoid spilling of heated liquid. Never place lighted lamp directly on furniture or flammable surfaces. Do not leave lighted candle unattended.

Be careful whenever using essential oils near flame. Always extinguish the candle before refilling the reservoir with water and oils.

Electric Heat diffusers usually use a system of small absorbent cards to hold the oils. Which are then placed inside of a plug in heating chamber with ventilation that allows the aromatic compounds to evaporate into the surrounding air.
To use electric heat diffusers:

First place a couple of drops of pure essential oils onto the scent card(s) that are included with the diffuser.

Next place the card(s) into the heating chamber of the diffuser. The heating chamber will most often be a metal or ceramic slot in the diffuser.
Now close the diffuser, then plug it in and turn the diffuser on. Sometimes these are made without on/off switches, as in the case of our car dashboard plug in diffuser.

The volatile (lighter that air) components of the essential oil will evaporate and begin filling the room. Enjoy the pleasing aromas as they inspire you for hours.
Try to keep the length of time that you diffuse to 2 hours or less. Make sure that the diffuser has sufficient time to cool between uses.

A note about electric diffusers
Keep diffuser away from water. Never wet the diffuser

Be careful whenever using essential oils near heating elements. Always unplug and/or turn off the diffuser before re scenting the scent cards with oils.
