The Buckwheat Pillow

Styles and Uses
We have 3 styles of Buckwheat hull sleeping pillows. The
Traditional model which is smaller than a standard American pillow. It is
the size of a traditional Japanese Pillow. It is approximately 14" x 21" We also
sell extra covers for this size of pillow. Our Large Size pillow is just
like the Traditional pillow but is a standard American size 20" x 26".
These pillow weight quite abit more than other types of pillows the Traditional
weighs 3.6lb and the Large 7lbs.
We also carry the
Rejuvenator Pillow. A new design allowing you to tailor the support to
your specific needs.
HOW DO I USE A BUCKWHEAT PILLOW
The pillow comes complete with instructions for use. For sleeping on your
back you simply make a little indentation in the center for your head and the
pillow will automatically support your neck in the proper position (normal
cervical lordosis). For sleeping on your side you leave the pillow flat under
your head and up close to your shoulder, this will keep your head and spine
parallel while providing the proper neck support.
The pillow will conform to your contours as you move around during the night.
The first few nights you might take a little getting used to the pillow because
it feels different than other pillows you may be used to. The pillow is also
good for people who never use any pillows because most pillows provide too much
support lifting your head too far off the bed, but the Makura lets your head
rest close to the bed.
| Buckwheat pillows also make excellent Nursing/Breastfeeding
Pillows. For a new mother, getting used to breastfeeding can be a little
tricky. You need firm support at just the right height until your baby is
big enough to rest on your knees. Our pillows are packed full of
Hypo-allergenic buckwheat hulls that conform gently to the shape of your
baby making it firm but gentle for even the tiniest of babies. |

WHAT IS THE FABRIC MADE OF?
All models have a zippered inner liner made of cotton twill, a soft and dense
fabric of the highest quality. The Traditional size Makura pillow also includes
its own pillow case. On the larger XL size you can use your own 'Standard' size
pillow cases. All have a high quality zippered opening to allow the addition and
removal of hulls to adjust support or to allow cleaning of the case.
Traveling Hints
When you travel you will want to remember to take your pillow with you too.
Many times we have been called by Makura and Rejuvenator Deluxe pillow users
from some hotel somewhere where they realized they missed their buckwheat hull
pillow and wanted us to ship them one right away by next day air. Also remember
if you do travel with your pillow, don't forget it when you leave. We suggest
you use a bright colored pillow case on it when you travel. Many users of the
Rejuvenator Deluxe or Large size Miracle pillow use the traditional size Makura
to travel with because it is smaller and lighter.
